Promoting good communication and partnerships with the parents is a priority.
Saint Christina’s values greatly the relationship between the parents and the school and enjoys the hands on support of many parents who bring their varied expertise to enrich our children’s lives. Many parents volunteer to run the library at lunch time and welcome classes to lively book conferences. Other parents read stories to the younger children. Science and history lessons are enriched by eminent doctors and historians.
Reports are sent to parents of pupils in KS1 and KS2 twice a year and parent / teacher meetings take place each term. Parents have regular opportunities to discuss their child’s progress.
Parents are always welcome to make an appointment to see the Class Teacher or the Head Teacher to discuss their child’s progress.
There are regular school and class newsletters and internal and external notice boards to keep parents informed about dates and events.
Parents are invited to various functions during the school year including Assemblies, Masses, concerts, productions, sports day, prize-giving and the First Holy Communion celebration.
The School has an active Parents’ Association, ‘ Parents’ Link’ which organises various fund-raising and social events. All parents are automatically members and are welcome to attend any committee meetings.
