In Art lessons this term the children in Year 1 and Year 5 have been studying two famous painters. We thought it would be a great idea to invite Josie Chisholm, a felt maker, to deliver an amazing workshop and create two different pieces of artwork to decorate the school.
The children in Year 1 got messy hand rolling merino wool to create masterpieces inspired by Kandinsky's concentric circles. The girls in Year 5 had so much fun creating very elegant artwork influenced by Monet’s nympheas garden.
What a fun and creative way to finish the first spring term!
Thanks so much to Josie for sharing her talent and thank you to the children for their huge effort and patience. I am very proud of you all.
