The children in Year 5 and 6 had a wonderful week in Derbyshire. The week was jam packed with wonderful excursions linked to the Geography and History curriculum. We travelled back to 1900 when we visited Blist Hill Victorian town where we had the opportunity to go into the bank and change our modern day money into shillings and pence. The fun started when we could go into different shops and spend the money! The children also participated in a brick making workshop as well as a laundry workshop. During the week we visited Eyam, the Cromford Mills, Chatsworth House, Warwick Castle, The Heights of Abraham and the Peak Wildlife Park. It was a week filled with lots of laughter and smiles!
