In Spanish this week…
Reception have been learning about body parts. One of the songs we sing about this topic is "cabeza, hombros, manos, pies". Here is the link to the song in case you want to practise it at home!
In Years 1 and 2 we have been learning about "los colores". In small groups we had to say "veo el color..." ( I see the colour...) and our classmates had to find that colour around the room. We learnt that in Spanish the letter "v" and "b" sound the same! If you want to practice finding "colores" at home, you can use these two links!
In Year 4 we have been learning a new song about "animales de colores". We played Pictionary as a group and in pairs practising the spelling of the new animals. We also had a lot of fun playing "charades" to guess "qué animal es?". You can practise the song at home using this link!
In Year 5 we are learning about clothes. Some clothes we use now were also used in the Victorian times! We played games with new vocabulary and we started learning a new song about "la ropa" that you can practise at home using this link!
In Year 6 we worked very hard reading descriptions that included new and familiar words. We had to match each description to the correct character from the movie "Coco". We also had to identify one false fact about each of the characters. Using the Spanish dictionaries helped us do this.
