Earlier this term, in Science, we borrowed samples of NASA-owned moon rock (collected on the Apollo missions) and real meteorites from the Science and Technology Facilities Council.

We were not allowed to disclose this for security reasons while the samples were still here. There are only 6 sets available for schools to loan in the UK, and they are considered invaluable. (The children thought it was hilarious that in the event of a fire, I had signed a contract agreeing to retrieve the moon rock before leaving the building!)
