World Book Day

We had such fun last Thursday 7th March, dressing up as our favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

The children looked absolutely fantastic in their outfits, from princesses to superheroes, various types of animals to characters from classic children’s books. Many of the teachers also enjoyed joining in with the dressing up!

It was wonderful to listen to some of the children in assembly sharing a little information about the character they were dressed as.

The children took part in many different book related activities throughout the day such as book and author quizzes, writing about their favourite book character and sharing stories with each other. Another very successful World Book Day this year! We raised £147.74 which will go towards helping victims of the flooding in Kerala, our school charity for this academic year. Thank you for your support.

The Book Fair has been a huge success again this year. Thank you for all of your support with buying books from the Book Fair. A percentage of what we sold will go to the school so we can buy new books for our classrooms and for the library.
