The School Day

8.55 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. Nursery and Reception

8.55 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. Year 1 – Year 6

At the start of the day

Children may arrive at School from 8.45 a.m. The children in Nursery and Reception class may be taken directly to their classrooms. Children in Year 1 are greeted by their class teacher in the Arts Hall and children in Year 2 are greeted in the School Hall. When your child moves up to Year 1 and 2, we hope you will support us by saying ‘Goodbye‘ to your child at the entrance and allowing your child the responsibility of organising themselves at this time. When your child moves up into Key Stage 2 (Year 3 onwards) please allow your child the responsibility of making their way to their classroom where they will be met by the class teacher.

If, for any reason you arrive late, please take your child directly to the School Office so their arrival can be noted and they can be accompanied to their classroom.

At the end of the day

Children are only allowed to leave when both the child and the teacher have seen the waiting parent and after the child has politely said ‘Goodbye‘. This is for your child’s safety and to encourage good manners. The School must be informed in advance if someone other than yourself or normal carer is picking up your child.
