Friday 14th November
Headteacher for the Day.
Today our school was in very capable hands of a child in Year 3, our Head for the Day. It’s been a whirlwind of meetings, learning walks, and very serious decision-making. Our young Head has led with confidence, charm, and a clear vision for the future… mostly involving longer break times. Over to you!
This morning, I welcomed everyone into school and shook hands with each of them. Then, I led the assembly on the topic of peace. Where I also handed out Certificates and Spots to the children. Which I then helped Mr Hirst to put up on the Spotted Display. Then I had a meeting with Mr Hirst, who showed me how the timetable worked and what clubs run each day. Then I supervised KS1 in the wet play breaktime. One of the children had a robot dog that was amazing to play with. I also supervised some of the Year 1 boys racing their cars.
I did a health and safety walk with Miss Georgia and Mr Hirst, and then I did a learning walk with Mr Walshe and tons of people were doing maths, then I helped deliver flyers to all the class and visited the Nursery. After that, I helped Reception and Nursery with lunch. Then I sat down and had lunch with my friend.
