LA SEMANA HISPANICA

This week, our school has been buzzing with excitement as we celebrated Hispanic Week. Timetables were set aside to make space for a really fun and immersive experience, and what a fantastic week it has been!

The children have been brilliant, getting involved with the Spanish language and enjoying lots of new traditions and cultural activities. It’s even been fun seeing some of the teachers having a go at speaking Spanish too.

Throughout the week, the children took part in a wide range of activities. The children loved making and tasting their own guacamole, creating colourful flowers and papel picado to decorate the school, and designing their own piñatas (with some well earned treats at the end). Zumba sessions brought loads of energy and laughter, and there were also some really interesting conversations about traditions.

One of the highlights was Wednesday morning, when we welcomed parents into school to share stories and information about their countries. A big thank you to everyone who came in, we really appreciate it. The children absolutely loved it and were so excited to take part.

It’s been a really special week, full of fun, learning and celebration.
