School Council Assembly

Well done to our School Council who led a fantastic and engaging assembly this week. They began by
explaining the important role of the council as the voice of the children and introduced us to this year’s
representatives from across the school. Everyone now knows that our councillors are here to listen to ideas,
collect suggestions from the class boxes, and share them in meetings to help improve our school.

The council also reminded us that they not only bring forward new ideas but also celebrate the good things
already happening and look out for others in the playground. We even heard an excellent first suggestion
from the Sports Captains about putting up nets in the playground to stop balls from flying over the wall.

To finish, the councillors taught us about our latest 6C – Collaboration. Through fun role play and games
with Mr Raveney, they showed us that working together, supporting one another, and combining our
strengths helps us achieve more than we can alone. A big thank you to all our councillors for their confident
presentations, teamwork and enthusiasm.
