Postcards From Our Travels in Nursery

This week our holiday theme has continued, fully inspired by the children. After last week’s focus on passports, we extended this into postcards. We began by exploring a range of postcards and pictures from different locations, talking about where they might go and what they could write. After experimenting with making their own postcards in class and posting them into our classroom post box, we decided to do it for real. Each child chose a destination, drew a picture for the front of their postcard, thought of a short message, added a real stamp, and then we went on our first ever trip out of school to the post box to post them! Now we are all waiting excitedly to see when they arrive at home.
