Year 3’s Trip to London Zoo

Year 3 started the half term in style, heading out to visit London Zoo to take part in an exciting rescue mission, where they stepped into the role of junior vets to help protect the critically endangered Darwin’s frogs.

They also took part in a hands-on training session to health check a sloth. The children learnt a lot about how animals are cared for both at London Zoo and through ZSL’s global conservation work.

It was lovely to see children so engaged in their learning and it is fair to say that the Zoo staff were blown away by some of the answers that the children gave. Overall, the trip was a great success and the children were a credit to themselves and the school.
